Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Southern Hospitality: FIDM class introduced to Marilyn Ambra I was asked to teach this year after Gregangelo and I lectured at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising here in San Francisco. it was an exciting opportunity for our company to engage with a great group of artists that are enthusiastic and passionate about their art and well on their way to becoming professional working artists in their respective fields. I am teaching a Event Marketing/Planning course dedicated to visual communications students at FIDM. As part of the syllabus I programmed guest speakers into the class that are elite in their fields and can contribute real life experience and knowledge to the course. Marilyn Ambra was our first guest speaker and was a phenomenal asset to our study of event styling. Her passion for the client, ability to communicate with flair and attention to detail ignited the FIDM students and engaged their creative minds! Read More about Marilyn Ambra |

BIG Thank You to the Halloween Festival Volunteers
Volunteerism is the free giving of kindness, talent, and effort for the simple fulfillment of bettering your community. This we recognized in each and every volunteer that made a commitment, fulfilled it, and added to the San Francisco Halloween Festival. On behalf of CUE we thank you. Your contributions of time and sweat to the San Francisco Halloween Festival have been invaluable. Your flexibility and good spirits helped to buoy a cloudy day. Despite the threat of rain, over a thousand people attended - not shabby for a first run. We hope that you had the opportunity to enjoy some of the celebration and want to see you again next year.

Girlfest Bay Area! Join us this Sunday July 22, 2007 from 1-5pm @ Dolores Park in San Francisco as we perform as part of the line-up for our second year in the closing concert of Girlfest Bay Area! Girlfest mission is to change peer culture in order to prevent increasing violence against women and girls through education, entertainment and positive representations of women. When girls experience sexual abuse, they more often than not do not seek help or call hotlines or tell their parents. They ask their friends for help, friends who are not equipped to handle situations such as abuse. for more information on Girlfest click on the Girlfest logo and LISTEN TO: JULY 2007 - WOMEN'S RADIO INTERVIEW WITH CO-DIRECTOR JESSMAYA MORALES and FOUNDER KATHRYN XIAN

Featured Artist Tara Bayat Tara Bayat is our newest member to the GVCT family. born in Egypt she was
immediately exposed to a sub culture of internationals that her mother, a
San Franciscan, and father, a Iranian, had not been exposed to till they
were in their 20's. it was essential to her parents that she and her older
sister, Shiva, should get acquainted with the arts. While attending Private
British school she became involved with the Cario Opera House at the age
of 6 while taking violin lessons. this became a second home for her and she
continued to be involved with events at the Opera House including the annual
Christmas Choir and a production of "The Sound of Music". At 11
she moved to the Hague, the Netherlands where she attends the International
School of the Hague. There she continues to play the violin and and has formed
a 6 girl accapella group. Our 15 year old intern is at GVCT to get more acquainted
with her passion, a passion that bloomed when she was 3, when she saw "Tommy" on
Broadway. |

Recap of Gregangelo & San
Francisco Symphony Event / June
14, 2007 The San Francisco Symphony invited Gregangelo to work
his magic for the opening of the Prokofiev Festival on Thursday, June 14
by designing and creating a "black
tie chic" after-party in War Memorial Veterans Building based on the story "For
the love of Three Oranges" . Gregangelo and his great team of artists,
support staff and incredible production team transformed the venue into magical
art instillations complete with fantasy characters like "The Fairy" as
pictured and played by Shannon Gaines. These magical characters added an extra
punch to the exciting rooms and brought the story and instillations to life!
It was a pleasure to see the genuine smiles and laughter as symphony guests
played and became enveloped in the enchantment. A special thank you to everyone
who helped make this evening happen especially Jennifer Franks for believing
in the magic and thank you to Drew Alitzer for capturing the essence and ambiance
of the evening through his beautiful photography. To see more images of the
event and Drew's work click on the link below.
